Compound D5-I


Radiation crosslinkable compound for high abrasion resistant and extremely chemical resistant, flexible fluoroelastomer 200ºC heat-shrinkable tubing.

Compound properties

Compound D5-I is a compound offering superior high temperature and chemical resistance. A specially selected combination of fluoroelastomers and thermoplastic fluoropolymers , processing aids and additives makes this compound an excellent choice for the manufacturing of heat-shrinkable tubing which will easily meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-23053/13, DEF STD 59-97/3 Type 4A and VG 95343 Part 5 Type E.
The compound is easy processable and can be processed on standard PE extruders.

Packaging

compound is packed in sealed PE bags of 25 kg.
We recommend to store the compound below 30ºC.

Tubing properties

Heat-shrinkable tubings made of this compound will exhibit excellent resistance to ozone, oxidation, abrasion and weathering. The "kink" resistance and excellent heat and fluid resistance makes this compound an excellent choice for a superior heat-shrinkable tubing in the aviation, aerospace, chemical and military industry. The heat-shrinkable tubing manufactured from this black compound, will show a continuous operating temperature, easily exceeding 200ºC. The excellent heat-ageing properties allows the product to withstand 400ºC for short periods, without detrimental effects.
