Radiation crosslinkable compound for semi-rigid superior
flame-retarded, 175ºC fluoropolymer heat-shrinkable tubing.

Compound properties

Compound D3-I is a compound offering superior chemical resistance, cut-through and abrasion resistance properties. A specially selected combination of fluoropolymers , processing aids and additives makes this compound an excellent choice for the manufacturing of heat-shrinkable tubings which will easily meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-23053/8, VG 95343 Part 5 Type F and
UL 224 VW-1.
The compound is easy processable at high speeds with minimal melt fracture and can be extruded on standard PE extruders or PVC extruders having a 2:1 pressure ratio.

Extrusion

Packaging

The compound is packed in sealed PE bags of 25 kg.
We recommend to store the compound below 30ºC.

Tubing properties

Heat-shrinkable tubing made of this compound will be transparent and will show a continuous operating temperature of 175ºC. The excellent heat-ageing properties allows the product to withstand 350ºC for short periods. The combined high performance properties makes this product an excellent choice for applications in electrical and hydraulical systems in the aircraft, automotive, military , paper, steel, chemical adn medical industry. Tubing can be easily sterilized. The tubing can be colored by adding special color masterbatches.
