Compound D2-I


Radiation crosslinkable polyester elastomeric compound for flexible high grade, diesel fuel and hydraulic fluid resistant 150ºC heat-shrinkable tubing.

Compound properties

Compound D2-I is a radiation crosslinkable compound offering excellent chemical resistance, flexibility , flame-retardancy and high temperature resistance properties. The specially selected combination of elastomers, flame-retardants , processing aids and additives makes this compound an excellent choice for the manufacturing of heat-shrinkable tubings which will easily meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-23053/16, DEF 59-97 Issue 3 Type 6B and VG 95343 Part 5 Type D.
The compound is easy processable at high speeds with minimal melt fracture and can be extruded on standard PE or PVC extruders.

Extrusion

Packaging

The compound is packed in sealed PE bags of 25 kg.
We recommend to store the compound below 30ºC.

Tubing properties

Heat-shrinkable tubing made of this compound will show a continuous operating temperature of 150ºC. The excellent heat-ageing properties allows the product to withstand 200ºC for short periods. The high chemical resistance against a wide range of fluids and the extreme flexibility makes this compound an excellent choice for applications such as cable harnesses in the automotive, aerospace, military and chemical industry.
