Radiation crosslinkable elastomeric compound for flexible high grade,
hydraulic fluid resistant 120ºC heat-shrinkable tubing.

Compound properties

Compound D1-I is a radiation crosslinkable compound offering excellent chemical resistance, flexibility , abrasion resistance and flame-retardancy properties. The selected combination of elastomers, flame-retardants, processing aids and additives makes this compound the ideal choice for the manufacturing of heat-shrinkable tubings which will easily meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-23053/1 class 2.
The compound is easy processable at high speeds and can be extruded on standard PE or PVC extruders.

Packaging

The compound is packed in sealed PE bags of 25 kg.
We recommend to store the compound below 30ºC.

Tubing properties

Heat-shrinkable tubing made of this compound will show a continuous operating temperature of 120ºC. The excellent heat-ageing properties allows the product to withstand 175ºC for short periods. The combined high chemical resistance against a wide range of fluids and the extreme flexibility makes this compound an excellent choice for applications in the automotive, aerospace, military and chemical industry, on cables or harness systems in equipment that is subject to high levels of physical abuse.
