Two different radiation sources are commercially used :

-	Electron-beam (also called Beta) radiation, a beam of negatively charged particles;
-	Gamma radiation, a electromagnetic radiation

The wide range of PTL radiation crosslinkable compounds have been developed such, that with a low dose, a high crosslinking degree can be achieved, resulting in low crosslinking costs and maximum efficiency.
